The Ragdoll is a docile, gentle, exceptionally relaxed animal with a decidedly even temperament. If properly socialized from birth, he will be a friendly and endearing member of the family. The Ragdoll can be welcoming to strangers and enjoys being held and cuddled by people of all ages. This breed tends to prefer the company of people to that of other pets. He is generally a good pet for young children, as he tolerates and enjoys affection and attention and can usually cope with a child's exploration and potentially unexpected behaviors. However, the Ragdoll generally prefers a quiet rather than boisterous living environment and is happiest when housed entirely indoors. He is an excellent companion for a modern, active home.
