This evening, we want to highlight one of our most overlooked dogs, one who has had a very rocky life and is SO deserving a home…Our Bunny buns 🐰🥰

Bunny was originally rescued as a young pup after losing his family and home during the war in Ukraine. He ended up on the streets and was thankfully taken in by @warpawsrescue. He has spent a very long time waiting in kennels and in August 2024, at the age of 4, he made his way over to us at Pet Palooza to try and find his new family.

Bunny is the type of boy who doesn’t sell himself too well when potential adopters go around on our tours, barking in uncertainty as new humans are scary for him. But if you break down those barriers and spend some time actually getting to know him, he is a truly special, loving boy with a HUGE personality! ❤️

In a world where everyone could see the real Bunny, there’s no doubt he would have been adopted by now and it’s just such a shame…

It takes time to build any kind of bond with Bunny, as anyone who has adopted overseas street rescues may be very familiar with, but once he has let you in and you have earned his trust, he will ask for belly rubs, kisses and loves the attention so much! He will greet you with the waggiest bum ever and place his two front paws on you for hugs 🥹

He’s even gotten used to some of our regular volunteers and goes walking with them now, which is a huge step for a dog like him!

He can be a little picky in regards to what dogs he gets on with, but we have found that he takes to other dogs and cats very well and has particularly taken a shine to our Cypriot girl, Ofeas, who matches his energy wonderfully. He will be looking for a home with a companion ideally, with owners who are around a lot to put the time into him, we believe he could go as an only dog too.

He is good with children and older teenagers who are VERY understanding of nervous rescues.
